TIP OF THE MONTH
THE PROPER WAY TO SHAVE
PREP: To prepare the skin for a smooth shave, always shave after or at the end of a hot shower. This will soften the beard and open up the pores.
SHAVE: Two of the leading causes of ingrown hairs and razor burn are dull razors and poor lubrication. Make sure you always use a sharp blade. Always shave with the grain and if you need a closer shave re-lather and shave at a 45 degree angle.
PROTECT: After shaving always rinse face with a splash of cool water. Gently pat the face dry with a soft cloth and apply a good aftershave balm. I recommend you use a balm that doesn't contain alcohol, because it can cause dry skin.

A classic barbershop with everything that goes with it. Excellent people, a real family run business. Never had a reason to look anywhere else for a haircut. It's like Cheer's where everyone knows your name!

The first time I had my hair cut by Bernard was in 1993 when his shop was on Clearbrook. Since then I attended Nicolette's shop on King and McCallum, also on South Fraser Way, and then lastly on Anora Drive. That is 23 years that I have been having my hair cut by the same family. Obviously I am very happy with the experience otherwise I wouldn't be going back... Highly recommended.
